Moisture and Humidity Calibration: FAQs

1How do you calibrate a humidity or moisture meter?
The easiest way to calibrate a moisture meter or humidity sensor is to use a reference sensor that has already been calibrated. We place both sensors in the same temperature-controlled environment for about 45 minutes to ensure accurate and reliable readings.
2How do I know if my equipment is calibrated accurately?
To undertake a calibration check you need to test the same environment or material multiple times to see if there is any change in readings. If your equipment is properly calibrated, there should be virtually no difference in the readings.
3What should I do if my moisture and humidity equipment isn't working?
Take a moment to charge the meter or change the batteries. If the display does turn on, but the meter won't read anything, it's best to call the manufacturer. They may send a replacement meter or call a calibration lab for repairs and calibration.
